Connect Hospitality, part of EVT, is seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to shape the employee journey across hotels and corporate teams. You'll welcome new starters, support leaders, celebrate milestones, and champion engagement initiatives to create an environment where our people feel valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in a People & Culture role, preferably in hospitality or fast-paced service.
• Strong understanding of Australian employment practices and relevant awards.
• Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with HR, payroll and workforce management systems and adapt to new tech quickly.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Roll out the red carpet for new starters, ensuring a memorable onboarding experience.

About the Role

As our People & Culture Coordinator, you'll play an important role in shaping the employee journey, supporting our hotels and corporate teams, and bringing our culture to life every day. From welcoming new starters and supporting leaders to celebrating milestones and championing engagement initiatives, you'll help create an environment where our people feel valued, supported and inspired to do their best work.

What You'll Do

You'll help our teams thrive, laugh, grow and love where they work.

As a key member of the Connect Hospitality People & Culture team, you'll:

• Act as the go-to person for all things People & Culture, always ready with a smile, a solution, or a helping hand.
• Roll out the red carpet for new starters, creating memorable first impressions and setting our people up for success from day one.
• Support the employee journey from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the exceptional experience we strive to create.
• Keep our teams engaged and inspired by championing wellbeing, recognition, diversity and moments that matter.
• Build strong relationships across our hotels and support offices, partnering with leaders to create positive Daymaker experiences.

Qualifications & Experience

We're looking for someone who brings energy, curiosity and a genuine passion for people.

• Previous experience in a People & Culture role, preferably within hospitality, tourism or a fast-paced service environment.
• A solid understanding of Modern Awards and Australian employment practices, with knowledge of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award highly regarded.
• Strong administration skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to keep multiple priorities moving.
• Confidence working with HR, payroll and workforce management systems, and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A positive, proactive approach and a genuine desire to make a difference in the employee experience.
