Job summary

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd in regional Queensland is seeking a People and Culture Advisor – Learning and Development to design, deliver and evaluate learning initiatives that build capability across the organisation. This is a hands-on role that engages stakeholders at all levels.

You will apply adult learning principles, translate legislation into practical solutions, and lead the development, implementation and evaluation of training programs.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and modern L&D practices.
• Ability to translate legislative requirements into practical learning solutions.
• Experience developing, delivering and evaluating training initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement learning and organisational development programs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external providers, SMEs and system owners to ensure program effectiveness.
• Identify learning needs across the organisation and recommend targeted solutions.
• Maintain and refresh training materials to reflect best practices and evolving business needs.
• Monitor and evaluate training to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader – People and Culture, you will beresponsible for the design, delivery andevaluation of learning and organisational developmentinitiatives that build individual and organisationalcapability.

This is a hands-on role that requires a forward-thinkingmindset, with the ability to engage stakeholders across variouslevels of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative learning and organisationaldevelopment programs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external providers,SMEs, and system owners to ensure program effectiveness.
• Proactively identify learning needs across the organisationand recommend targeted solutions.
• Maintain and refresh existing programs and trainingmaterials to reflect current best practices and evolvingbusiness needs.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training toensure compliance and continuous improvement.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a blend of technicalknowledge, stakeholder engagement skills and a proactive approachto learning development.

You will bring:

• Strong understanding of adult learning principles andcontemporary L&D practices.
• Ability to interpret legislative and business requirementsand translate these into learning solutions.
• Proven experience developing, implementing, and evaluatingtraining initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with acustomer-centric approach.

Qualifications and Experience (Ideally, you’ll havesome or all of the following):

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 orequivalent).
• Tertiary qualifications in Education, Human Resources or arelated field.
• Demonstrated experience working with trades, apprenticesand trainees in technical or operational environments (e.g.heavy industry, construction or mining).
• Knowledge of VET (Vocational Education and Training)legislation and frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, e-learningauthoring tools, Adobe Creative Suite.
