Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Pensions Officer to join the LGPS service, providing expert administration and technical support across a wide range of pension matters. Qualifications

• Experience in pensions administration, preferably LGPS.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of pension administration work and ensure records and benefits are processed accurately per LGPS, HMRC and internal procedures.
• Lead on complex, historical and backlog cases, investigate issues and resolve discrepancies to keep member records complete.
• Support implementation of legislative changes, review guidance, design new processes and test them before rollout.
