Job summary

Wellways, a values-led Australian mental health and social support organisation, is seeking a Peer Recovery Worker in the Community Living Support program in Penrith, NSW. You will draw on your lived experience of recovery to inspire hope, empower participants and help them build independence through practical, person-led support.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Certificate 4 in Community Services or Certificate 4 in Peer Work (or be enrolled and actively working toward completing one of these qualifications).
• 100 points of identification required.
• Evidence of right to work in Australia.
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check (Blue Card) are required.

Responsibilities

• Use your lived experience to engage, empower and support people on their recovery journey.
• Provide practical, strengths-based support tailored to individual goals and needs.
• Facilitate peer learning programs and promote hope, recovery and self-determination.
• Work collaboratively with participants, families, communities and partner services.
• Maintain accurate participant records, recovery plans and program documentation.
