Job summary

Wellways Australia is seeking a Peer Recovery Worker to support participants in the Community Living Support program. You will draw on your own lived experience of mental health challenges to inspire hope, build connections, and help people achieve their goals in a person-led recovery process.

Working within an integrated team, you will provide practical, hands-on support that strengthens independence, develops self-management skills and connects people with their communities.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Peer Work or Certificate 4 in Community Services, or be enrolled in and actively working toward completing one of these qualifications
• 100 points of identification
• Evidence of right to work in Australia
• National Police Check
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• NDIS Workers Orientation Modules– free online course

Responsibilities

• Use your lived experience to engage, empower and support people on their recovery journey
• Provide practical, strengths-based support tailored to individual goals and duties
• Facilitate peer learning programs and promote hope, recovery and self‑determination
• Work collaboratively with participants, families, communities and partner services
• Maintain accurate participant records, recovery plans and program documentation
