Job summary

NSW Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Lvl 4) for the CICADA Drug and Alcohol Service at Westmead, with occasional travel to Randwick. The role focuses on assessment and intervention for children and adolescents (0–17 years) in a tertiary paediatric hospital setting.

The position involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, research activity, and development of educational materials for families and health professionals.

Qualifications

• The primary purpose of this position is to apply advanced clinical expertise in occupational therapy to provide trauma‑informed, developmentally appropriate assessment and treatment for children and adolescents (0–17 years) within the CICADA Drug and Alcohol Service.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessment reports.
• Contribute to diagnostic case conference discussions.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team in assessment and management.
• Participate in the Centre's educational activities for NSW outside services and professionals.
• Develop educational materials for parents and other health care providers.
• Participate in research activities as appropriate.
