Job summary

NSW Health’s Cessnock District Hospital is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our small paediatric team. The role focuses on outpatient services for children aged 0–18 years with motor, sensory, and ADL needs.

You must be AHPRA registered and bring paediatric experience with strong communication and time-management skills. Temporary part-time until July 2027, based at Cessnock Hospital, with supervision and thorough orientation.

Qualifications

• OT with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience in paediatric OT service.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management and prioritisation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient paediatric assessment and therapy for children 0–18 years (8+ seen for assessment only).
• Contribute to the Cessnock/Kurri OT team across inpatient, rehabilitation and outpatient services.
• Receive regular supervision and participate in orientation to the site.
