Job summary
Wesley Mission Queensland is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to deliver specialist paediatric care in our Hummingbird House and statewide Family and Community Support Team. You will work autonomously and with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, family-centred care.
The role emphasizes advanced practice aligned with NMBA standards, leadership, travel across SEQ, and commitment to not-for-profit values. We offer supportive mentorship and secure parking.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner endorsement with AHPRA registration.
- Nurse Practitioner endorsement in Paediatric Care and/or Palliative Care.
- Willingness to travel across SEQ and statewide as required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist paediatric care to children and families from perinatal to 21 years.
- Undertaking comprehensive assessments and developing individualised care plans.
- Managing complex medical needs with the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensuring effective pain and symptom management and treatment interventions.
- Facilitating advance care planning and bereavement support.
- Educating families about conditions, treatments, and home‑care strategies.
