Job summary

NSW Health's Bear Cottage in Manly is seeking an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) for a temporary part-time role 18 hours per week, until 15 November 2027. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide basic nursing care to children with life-limiting illnesses in a home-like setting.

Experience in disability services or with children is desirable. The role includes confidentiality, ethical conduct, respecting patients' rights, mandatory training, and adherence to NSW Health

Qualifications

• Experience in disability sector or with children is desirable.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a team.
• Commitment to ongoing mandatory training and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the provision of basic nursing care under supervision.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate ethical behaviour and respect patients' rights.
• Complete annual mandatory training.
• Adhere to NSW Health guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Adhere to the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
