Job summary

Komatsu’s Fairfield PDI team is growing, and we’re seeking experienced Fitter or Plant Technicians to join the floor. Work involves assembling, fitting options, and performance testing of brand‑new Komatsu machinery before delivery to customers.

Roster is Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3pm, about 40 hours weekly with overtime. Pay ranges from 46.61 to 54.86 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experienced fitter or plant technician.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit-out new Komatsu machinery.
• Install customer-specific options and components.
• Test and check machines prior to delivery.
• Diagnose and rectify issues as needed.
• Maintain high quality and accuracy in work.
• Collaborate with Leading Hand and PDI team.
• Prioritize safety, quality and productivity.
• Support apprentices and share trade knowledge.
• Complete relevant job documentation and reporting.
