Job summary

MPK is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our Maintenance Team at Wellcamp, QLD. You will work Monday to Friday with occasional weekends on site to support the team.

You will service and repair a fleet of earthmoving machinery, trucks and trailers, perform rebuilds, build new equipment, and lead daily prestart meetings with JHAs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fitter with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
• Ability to read basic diagrams and perform rebuilds and overhauls.
• Capable of guiding and sharing information with the team.

Responsibilities

• Service and repairs of all equipment
• Rebuilds and overhauls on specialist trenching and welding equipment (Vermeer, McElroy)
• Creation of new equipment, building, and assembly
• Conducting daily prestart meetings & filling out of JHAs as required

About The Role

MPK is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our local Maintenance Team located at Wellcamp, QLD. Reporting into the Infrastructure Plant Team, the ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated and eager to work a Monday to Friday roster, with the opportunity to work occasional weekends and support the Team on site when required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks across our fleet of equipment, consisting of earthmoving machinery, trucks, trailers, specialised equipment, light vehicles as well as undertake the occasional smaller, ad hoc jobs. They will be able to assist with loading and unloading of plant and freight.

Day To Day Tasks Willinvolve
