The Australian Electoral Commission in Canberra is seeking a Payroll Officer to manage day-to-day payroll processing and respond to enquiries about entitlements and conditions of service. You will calculate entitlements, interpret salaries and related entitlements, and maintain accurate payroll records in line with the AEC Enterprise Agreement and applicable legislation.

• Sound knowledge of payroll and general HR practices, procedures, operations and relevant public sector legislation.
• Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, delivering client-focused services in a processing environment.
• Proven ability to manage allocated tasks, meet competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within established timeframes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to assist in resolving issues across a geographically dispersed network.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to report on findings and identify opportunities to improve business efficiency.
