Job summary

RATP Dev Australia is seeking a Payroll Advisor to manage the compliant, end-to-end payroll lifecycle across NSW and VIC for the Western Sydney Airport and Suburban Rail Loop projects.

You will ensure multi-state compliance with Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements, process timekeeping from Kronos/UKG, and support employees with payroll queries in a fast-paced, infrastructure environment. The role requires 4–5 years of end-to-end payroll experience and a tertiary qualification.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years’ proven experience managing end-to-end payroll in a complex, multi-entity organisation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, modern awards, and multi-state compliance (NSW & VIC).
• Hands‑on proficiency with payroll/HRIS platforms (Kronos/UKG, Xero).
• Strong capability in complex calculations, reconciliations, and retrospective pay adjustments.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Payroll: Deliver timely, accurate pay runs, onboarding, leave management, adjustments, and final termination calculations.
• Complex Pay Calculations: Process redundancies, retrospective pay adjustments, leave loading, and off-cycle payments.
• Multi-State Compliance: SME for NSW and VIC payroll legislation, ensuring statutory compliance across PAYG tax, payroll tax, superannuation, and workers' compensation.
• Award & EA Interpretation: Apply Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements to calculate penalties, overtime, and entitlements.
• Time & Attendance Integration: Audit timesheets from Kronos/UKG and resolve discrepancies before pay finalisation.
• Finance & Year-End Reporting: Coordinate STP Phase 2 reporting and payroll liability reporting with Finance.
• Employee & Stakeholder Support: Provide timely payroll support for queries.
