Job summary

PeopleKind Group is hiring a Payroll Officer to join a small but mighty Payroll Team based in Burswood. You will manage fortnightly payroll across multiple subsidiaries within a for-purpose organisation, applying modern awards (SCHADS/AMER) and ensuring data accuracy in HRIS, with a focus on timely, compliant payroll processing.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll contribute to a supportive team culture that values accuracy and collaboration, in a growth phase across Western Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting modern awards.
• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll requirements.
• Experience with payroll and HRIS systems.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and elevate matters when needed.
• Experience interpreting SCHADS Award and/or AMER Award in the community services/not-for-profit sector is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process fortnightly payroll across multiple subsidiaries and services.
• Maintain and validate employee data in HRIS.
• Interpret and apply modern awards (SCHADS/AMER) and comply with payroll requirements.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with compliance tasks.
• Handle payroll enquiries and provide timely, accurate information.
