Job summary

Goodman Fielder is seeking a Payroll Officer for a 12-month fixed term contract in Sydney, Australia. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing across Australia, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with local legislation while delivering excellent service to employees.

In this role you will partner with HR, Finance and IT to drive process improvements, system enhancements and automation, and you will be a trusted escalation point for payroll queries within a busy environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' end-to-end payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience in large or complex payroll environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing across Australia.
• Process payroll changes, adjustments and termination payments.
• Resolve payroll queries with a customer-first mindset.
• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations and compliance checks.
• Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation and company policies.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT and Payroll SMEs to deliver seamless payroll services.
• Identify opportunities to improve, streamline and automate payroll processes.
• Support system enhancements and act as an escalation point for payroll issues.
