Job summary

EG Australia is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing across our Australian locations.

You will perform superannuation payments, lodge STP, reconcile GLs and payroll balances, prepare payroll tax returns, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support payroll operations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including Superannuation Guarantee, STP and Payroll Tax.
• Experience using payroll systems.
• Experience performing payroll-related GL reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Advanced Excel skills and data manipulation ability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform Superannuation payment processing, including validation and reconciliation.
• Prepare, review, and lodge STP submissions in line with ATO requirements.
• Validate payroll-related GL reports and investigate variances.
• Support payroll balance sheet reconciliations and related liabilities.
• Prepare and lodge payroll tax returns across jurisdictions.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on payroll matters.
