Job summary

BDO in Sydney is seeking a Payroll Officer to join Payroll Services. You will deliver outsourced payroll and related services to a diverse client base, including compliance and payroll transitions from other providers.

The role requires 1-3 years of payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously within a collaborative, professional environment. You will use SaaS payroll systems and the Microsoft Office suite to support accurate, timely payroll processing.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ extensive payroll experience.
• Solid payroll system experience, preferably with SaaS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of payroll clients and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare payroll calculations with accuracy.
• Respond to client queries and provide guidance.
• Manage payroll transitions from other providers.
• Ensure compliance with superannuation, Payroll Tax, PAYG and terminations.
