Job summary

BDO Australia is seeking a Payroll Officer to deliver outsourced payroll services and related activities for a portfolio of clients. You will collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure service excellence, accuracy, and compliance across statutory requirements.

The role requires 1–3 years payroll experience, proficiency with payroll software and SaaS systems, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a customised portfolio of clients and oversee payroll delivery
• Collaborate with Payroll Manager to provide outsourced payroll services
• Prepare payroll calculations accurately and timely
• Handle day-to-day client matters and identify expansion opportunities
• Respond to client queries in a timely and appropriate manner
• Plan and manage payroll transitions from other providers
• Ensure compliance with superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG and terminations
• Maintain consistent payroll processing documentation for each client
