Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking a Payroll Services Officer to support payroll delivery for over 4,000 hospital staff. The role reports to the Payroll Services Team Leader and sits within the Payroll, People and Culture function at St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst.

The ideal candidate has internal payroll experience in a busy environment, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with CHRIS 21 or Kronos. Hybrid work is available with two days WFH and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in an internal payroll team in a high-volume environment.
• Strong analytical skills with a friendly, proactive approach.
• Exposure to CHRIS 21 or similar payroll system.
• Exposure to an automated time and attendance system, preferably Kronos.
• Experience with Health awards/agreements or complex award conditions across multiple agreements.

Responsibilities

• Provide payroll service delivery to over 4000 employees at the hospital.
• Report to Payroll Services Team Leader and be part of a team of 7.
• Maintain high accuracy in line with health service policies and industrial frameworks.
• Act as a key contact for internal stakeholders across the hospital.
• Participate in process improvement projects to enhance payroll efficiency and quality.
• Work flexibly with 2 days of work-from-home per week.
