Job summary

Hitachi Rail Sts Australia Pty Ltd is seeking aPayroll Officer - ANZ to support accurate, timely payroll delivery across Australia and New Zealand. You will liaise with the external payroll provider, validate inputs, and maintain payroll records in HiNext and SAP.

The role requires experience in Australian payroll processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing in a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of PAYG withholding, payroll tax, superannuation and record-keeping requirements in Australia.
• Ability to coordinate payroll inputs and validate outputs with external providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly, monthly and other payroll cycles with external payroll provider.
• Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, and changes.
• Review payroll outputs and investigate discrepancies for corrections.
• Maintain payroll records in HiNext and SAP with confidentiality.
• Support HR with payroll information for onboarding and changes.
