Job summary

Hitachi Rail Australia is seeking a Payroll Officer – ANZ to ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery across Australia and New Zealand. You will coordinate with the external payroll provider, manage inputs, and maintain employee records with strong data integrity.

The role supports statutory compliance, payroll reconciliations and confidential handling of information, while enabling continuous improvement and effective payroll service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting end-to-end payroll in a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation including PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation.
• Experience coordinating inputs for payroll changes, terminations and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support weekly, monthly and other payroll cycles with the external provider.
• Prepare and validate payroll inputs and final payments for processing.
• Maintain payroll records in HiNext and SAP with strict confidentiality.
