Job summary

Munro Footwear Group (MFG) is seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer for its Melbourne Head Office, with a strong focus on accurate payroll processing and data integrity. The role supports the Payroll Team in end-to-end payroll runs, data maintenance, and responsive query resolution.

You will be based in our Abbotsford office four days a week, contributing to timely pays and compliance with policies, awards, and legislation while upholding confidentiality and accuracy across all payroll activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with end-to-end payroll processing in a retail or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Payroll Officers with end-to-end payroll runs and off-cycle payments.
• Maintain Employee Master Data and process changes for new hires, terminations, and transfers.
• Manage timekeeping data, leave records, and payroll approvals to ensure accuracy.
• Respond to pay queries and handle government obligations and reports.

As a Payroll Officer, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring wages are processed promptly and in line with all policies, awards, and legislation.
