Munro Footwear Group is seeking a Payroll Officer to join the Payroll Team in Melbourne. You will ensure wages are processed on time and in line with all policies, awards, and legislation, while maintaining Employee Master Data and onboarding new starters.

You will support end-to-end payroll processing, meet deadlines, and perform checks within our payroll systems. The role requires in-office presence at Abbotsford for four days per week.

• Experience with end-to-end payroll processing and pay runs.
• Familiarity with legislative awards and compliance considerations.
• Strong data entry and record-keeping accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsabilités

• Assist Senior Payroll Officers with end-to-end payroll processing and off-cycle payments.
• Ensure pay deadlines are met and pays are accurate.
• Perform analytical checks within Time & Attendance and Payroll systems.
• Process government and company paid parental leave and higher duties as required.
• Handle Group employment changes: new hires, terminations, salary changes, transfers.
• Maintain pay records, timekeeping data, leave records and statistics.
• Update and maintain allowances and deductions.

We have an opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join the Munro Footwear Group (MFG) Payroll Team. As a Payroll Officer, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring wages are processed promptly and in line with all policies, awards, and legislation. You'll also take ownership of maintaining Employee Master Data, processing changes, and onboarding new starters.

More about the role

• Assisting the Senior Payroll Officers in the end-to-end payroll processing and off-cycle payments for their assigned pay run group/s
• Ensuring all deadlines are met and pays are processed accurately
• Completing analytical checks and balances within the Time and Attendance and Payroll systems
• Completing out-of-system processes, such as Government and Company Paid Parental Leave and Higher Duties
• Reviewing pay queries within the payroll inboxProcessing Group employment changes, including new hires, terminations, position changes, salary changes and inter-company transfers
• Update and maintain pay records, associated timekeeping data and statistics, leave records and related information
• Maintain Team Member allowances and deductions

PLEASE NOTE - This role requires you to be in our Abbotsford office 4 days a week

About You

• Sound understanding of the General Retail Industry Award 2020
• Knowledge of the Storage Services and Wholesale Award 2020, Road and Transport Award 2020 and Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020 (Preferred)
• Understanding of LSL, ATO and Superannuation guarantee legislation and regulations
• Technical knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• High sense of urgency balanced with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to exercise discretion and contain highly confidential information within Payroll
• Ability to display flexibility in adapting to changing conditions and reset priorities based on business needs
