Job summary

Based at our Head Office in Milton, this 12-month maximum term, full-time opportunity sits within our People & Culture team. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will deliver accurate and timely payroll services to employees across the organisation.

This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service to employees and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience processing end-to-end payroll in a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience handling high-volume payroll across multiple awards and entitlements.
  • Familiarity with UKG Ready is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
  • Manage payroll transactions including changes, terminations, and adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and payroll requirements
  • Respond to payroll enquiries and resolve issues promptly
  • Support month-end and end-of-financial-year payroll processes and reconciliations

Your role will include:
  • Processing end-to-end payroll activities accurately and on time
  • Managing payroll transactions including employee changes, terminations and adjustments
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and payroll requirements
  • Responding to payroll enquiries and resolving payroll-related issues promptly
  • Supporting month-end and end-of-financial-year payroll processes and reconciliations
what we are looking for:

You are an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and is committed to delivering accurate outcomes while providing a high level of support to employees and stakeholders. Experience working within a large, complex organisation and managing high-volume payroll processing is essential.

You will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience processing end-to-end payroll in a medium to large organisation, ideally supporting a workforce of 500+ employees
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical skills and data accuracy
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience using UKG Ready will be highly regarded
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
