Healthcare Australia (HCA) is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in Adelaide. You will process high-volume weekly and fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for healthcare workers and corporate staff.

Reporting to the Assistant Payroll Manager, you will review timesheets, manage employee changes, advise on Modern Awards, entitlements and tax, and help improve payroll processes in a supportive, compliant environment. Healthcare experience is valued.

Qualificações

• 1–5 years’ experience in payroll or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Modern Awards.
• Proficient in Excel and data accuracy.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Assistant Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services for our healthcare workforce and corporate employees.

As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing high-volume weekly and fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance and exceptional service to our employees and stakeholders.

Day to day!

• Process high-volume weekly and fortnightly payroll accurately and on time.
• Review and process timesheets, employee changes and remuneration adjustments.
• Respond to payroll enquiries and provide advice on Modern Awards, superannuation, tax and leave entitlements.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, ensure legislative compliance and support accurate client billing.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Payroll Manager to streamline processes and improve payroll efficiencies.

You bring sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Modern Awards and employee entitlements, along with intermediate Excel skills, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and improving processes. Relevant qualifications in Payroll, Finance or Business are desirable, and previous healthcare experience will be highly regarded.
