Job summary

AlayaCare is seeking a Payroll Specialist to own and manage the Australian payroll end-to-end. You’ll process fortnightly payroll for two entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance while collaborating with Finance and HR. The role offers hybrid work in Sydney and exposure to global payroll processes.

You will bring hands-on Australian payroll experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Australian payroll experience end-to-end; STP, PAYG, super and deductions.
• Experience handling casual/hourly or blue-collar workforces and relevant legislation.
• Knowledge of awards, overtime, allowances and variable pay; strong compliance.
• Proficient with ADP; exposure to SAP/SuccessFactors or DayForce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the Australian payroll function and act as the local payroll expert.
• Process fortnightly payroll end-to-end for two entities; ensure accuracy.
• Validate timesheets, overtime, allowances and deductions; resolve queries.
• Collaborate with Finance and HR on reporting and compliance; drive improvements.
