Job summary

HammondCare is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a fixed-term 12-month contract with hybrid work options. The role supports fortnightly payroll across multiple sites, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with legislation. The position can be based in St Leonards, Sydney or other HammondCare sites in Melbourne.

You will work closely with the payroll team to deliver a high-quality service, develop system proficiency, and drive process improvements in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ Australian payroll experience.
• Strong experience in process improvement, quality and compliance.
• Strong organisational, time management and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience using UKG, Workday, Chris21/iChris is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Support the fortnightly payroll processing with accuracy across changes, leave and deductions.
• Maintain up-to-date payroll records and ensure timeliness of data.
• Assist with payroll compliance under legislation, Awards and Agreements, tax and superannuation.
• Provide timely payroll support to employees and managers, including Workday and UKG queries.
• Develop proficiency in UKG and other payroll systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and teamwork within the payroll function.
