Job summary

Hall & Wilcox is hiring a Payroll Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working Tue, Wed and Thu with hybrid and flexible arrangements across eight Australian offices including Darwin. The Payroll team delivers end-to-end processing for ~1200 employees and partners, supported by the Payroll Manager.

You will handle entitlements, superannuation, reconciliations and queries, contributing to efficient payroll operation in a collaborative finance environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years payroll Officer experience.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for ~1200 employees, ensuring timeliness and compliance.
• Manage employee entitlements including annual, sick, long-service leave.
• Process superannuation contributions every fortnight.
• Assist Payroll Manager with monthly reconciliation and reporting.
• Assist with monthly/quarterly profit share distribution for partners.
• Handle end-of-year processing and remuneration changes.
• Provide payroll support to other teams and respond to queries.
• Produce ad-hoc payroll reports as required.
