Peoplecorp is partnering with a well-established blue-collar organisation to hire an experienced Payroll professional on a short-term 3-month contract.

You will support end-to-end monthly payroll for approximately 100 employees using Employment Hero, manage data accuracy, respond to payroll queries, and assist with reporting, pay finalisation, and compliance.

This role suits a commercially minded payroll specialist who can build structure, improve processes and partner with operational leaders.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience within Australia, award-based.
• Experience in medium to high-volume environments (100+ staff).
• Proficiency interpreting EBAs, awards and legislation.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Employment Hero.

We are partnering with a well-established blue-collar organisation seeking an experienced Payroll professional to join the team on a short-term contract, supporting both BAU operations and key projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded payroll professional who thrives in environments where they can build structure, improve processes and partner closely with operational leaders.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services across a workforce of approximately 100 employees. Using Employment Hero, you will support the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring employee data is accurate and up to date, responding to payroll queries, preparing reports, resolving discrepancies and supporting pay finalisation.

You will be responsible for maintaining payroll records and documentation, processing superannuation and payroll-related requirements, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. You will also support the administration of salary packaging, employee benefits and other payroll-related processes.

Please note this is a short-term contract role for a period of 3 months.

THE CRITERIA

To be successful in this temporary contract you will bring end-to-end, award-based Payroll experience within Australia. Experience in medium to high-volume environments, particularly with employers of 100+ staff, is highly regarded. Proficiency in interpreting EBAs, awards, and relevant legislation is essential, along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with Employment Hero will be highly regarded. Strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure are also critical.
