Job summary

TAL Australia is seeking a seasoned Payroll Leader to oversee delivery of accurate, compliant payroll services across the business. You will ensure timely payments, governance, and risk management while building a high-performing Payroll Services team in a flexible hybrid environment.

In this role you will drive process improvements, leverage Dayforce (with exposure to Workday/ServiceNow), and partner with stakeholders at all levels to optimise efficiency and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing and developing Payroll/People Services teams.
• Strong expertise in HRIS platforms, notably Dayforce; exposure to Workday/ServiceNow is a plus.
• Ability to map processes and drive operational optimisation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of accurate, compliant payroll services within agreed timeframes.
• Oversee payroll governance, compliance with regulations and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement to streamline payroll processes and user experience.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to the Payroll Services team.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and escalations using data and insights.
