  • Experience supporting People Operations or HR administration activities, including lifecycle support.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full end-to-end payroll function across APAC regions (Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan).
  • Maintain payroll records, resolve payroll queries, and ensure confidentiality of payroll data.
  • Reconcile payroll reports with Finance for accurate accounting and reporting of payroll costs.
  • Ensure compliance with local taxation, superannuation, and employment legislation.
  • Assist with day-to-day People Operations, including onboarding/offboarding and contracts, and maintain HR data across systems.
  • Support HR dashboards and reporting frameworks to provide visibility over key people metrics.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Payroll & HR Operations Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis, supporting both payroll delivery and day-to-day People Operations across APAC.

This role is weighted approximately 60% payroll and 40% People Operations, and is suited to a highly organised, detail-focused professional who enjoys variety and working across multiple jurisdictions.

On the payroll side, the role will take primary ownership of accurate and compliant payroll processing across the region. On the People Operations side, the role will support core HR activities, including employee lifecycle administration, onboarding and offboarding, maintaining employee records, and responding to employee queries related to payroll, leave, benefits, and People policies.

Key Responsibilities

This role is approximately 60% Payroll and 40% People Operations

Payroll
  • Manage the full end-to-end payroll function across all APAC regions (Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan) ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all jurisdictions.
  • Maintain payroll records, resolve payroll queries, and ensure strict confidentiality of payroll data.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and partner with Finance to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of payroll costs.
  • Ensure compliance with local taxation, superannuation, and employment legislation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and implement best-practice solutions.
HR Operations
  • Assist with day-to-day People Operations as required.
  • Partner with the People team to respond to employee queries relating to payroll, leave, benefits, and People policies.
  • Deliver HR administrative support, including employment contracts, offer letters, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth and compliant employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and data across HR systems.
  • Contribute to the review and continuous improvement of HR policies, ensuring they remain current, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
  • Support the development of HR dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility over key people metrics.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end payroll across APAC, with the ability to take primary ownership of a payroll-focused role (approximately 60%) quickly and confidently.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Celergo.
  • Working knowledge of payroll compliance, taxation, superannuation, and employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting People Operations or HR administration activities (approximately 40%), including employee lifecycle support and responding to employee queries.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Strong ability to prioritise and manage tasks independently while working effectively across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
