Job summary

DataMesh Group in Sydney is seeking a Solutions Architect to steer the technical direction of high-performance platforms. You’ll collaborate with Software Engineering, Infrastructure and stakeholders to translate ambitious ideas into secure, scalable solutions that scale with growth.

You’ll lead architectural reviews, drive best practices, and shape delivery with a pragmatic, business-focused approach in a fast-growing payments tech environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and delivering complex, enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Hands-on expertise across AWS, Azure or GCP and modern cloud architecture.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, APIs, containerisation and DevOps.
• Experience designing highly available, secure and scalable systems in complex environments.
• Architecture modelling with UML, sequence diagrams and complex data models.
• Understanding of secure system design; payments or cryptographic key management is a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture for core products, platforms and systems.
• Design secure, scalable solutions across cloud, data, app and platform infrastructure.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead architectural decision-making balancing scalability, performance, security and business needs.
• Guide solution design with engineering teams and ensure delivery translates architecture into work.
• Lead architecture reviews, identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Drive system optimisation, scalability planning and performance benchmarking.
• Establish architectural best practices, design patterns and documentation standards.
• Influence technical strategy across complex initiatives.
