Job summary

DataMesh Group in Sydney is seeking a Solutions Architect to steer the technical direction of high-performance platforms. You’ll collaborate with Software Engineering, Infrastructure and stakeholders to translate ambitious ideas into secure, scalable solutions that scale with growth.

You’ll lead architectural reviews, drive best practices, and shape delivery with a pragmatic, business-focused approach in a fast-growing payments tech environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and delivering complex, enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Hands-on expertise across AWS, Azure or GCP and modern cloud architecture.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, APIs, containerisation and DevOps.
• Experience designing highly available, secure and scalable systems in complex environments.
• Architecture modelling with UML, sequence diagrams and complex data models.
• Understanding of secure system design; payments or cryptographic key management is a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

• Establish and champion architectural best practices, design patterns and documentation standards.
• Influence technical strategy and provide architectural leadership across complex initiatives.

WhatYou’ll Bring

• Significant experience designing and delivering complex, enterprise-scale software solutions.
• Strong hands-on technical expertise across AWS, Azure or GCP, with a deep understanding of modern cloud architecture.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, APIs, containerisation, distributed systems and DevOps practices.
• Experience designing highly available, secure and scalable systems in complex technical environments.
• Strong capability in architecture modelling, including UML, sequence diagrams and complex data models.
• A strong understanding of secure system design; experience with payments, transaction platforms or cryptographic key management would be highly regarded.
• The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A pragmatic, collaborative approach with the ability to balance technical excellence with business outcomes.
• Relevant cloud or architecture certifications, such as TOGAF, are advantageous but not essential.
