DBS Bank Ltd in Sydney is seeking an Associate in Payment Operations to ensure payments and term deposit transactions are processed accurately and within deadlines. You will perform daily reconciliations, resolve exceptions, and support GFM settlements in line with procedures.

The role requires 1–3 years in payment operations, knowledge of SWIFT MT/MX, Direct Entry and BPAY, and strong attention to detail. You will collaborate with Operations and Head Office to maintain control and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ hands-on experience in payment operations.
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT and MX messages, Direct Entry and BPAY.
• Experience with maker-checker controls, cut-off times and reconciliation processes.
• Understanding of operational risk, AML/CTF, sanctions controls and IFTI reporting obligations.

Responsabilités

• Process payment and term deposit transactions as maker and ensure proper authorisation and accurate entry for checker review.
• Support processing and settlement of GFM transactions per documented procedures and cut-off times.
• Complete reconciliations, control checklists and transaction monitoring within service levels.
• Identify and escalate transaction exceptions, outstanding items and potential control issues to senior staff.
• Maintain complete and accurate records in line with policies, regulatory obligations and audit requirements.
• Assist with UAT, projects, system enhancements and initiatives affecting Cash and GFM Operations.
