Job summary

Melbourne Health is seeking a Patient Liaison Officer to assist patients and clinical teams across the Royal Melbourne Hospital in navigating private and compensable admission options. You’ll work within Revenue Services to provide clear information and support informed financial consent while helping capture revenue accurately.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Timely and appropriate classification of patients with eligible health funds or third party cover (eg: TAC & Workcover).
• Approaching Medicare Ineligible Patients (Overseas Visitors) to identify insurance status.
• Work collaboratively with other Revenue Services workstreams and be co-located across RMH sites as required.
• Participating in continuous improvement projects and developing the Patient Liaison function.
• Being available weekends on a rotating roster to provide roaming PLO service across wards and ED.
