Paralympics Australia is seeking a Pathways Project Coordinator to strengthen national engagement across the Para sport referral network. You will lead and develop Para Playmakers, coordinating content and resources for allied health practitioners, education personnel and community referrers to promote early Para sport participation.
You will work with the Commercial, Communications and Brand teams to ensure messaging is accurate and audience‑appropriate, and deliver time-bound projects
The Role
Reporting to the Pathways Project lead, the Pathways Project Coordinator - Para Sport Referrals & Communications, is responsible for strengthening national engagement and capability across the Para sport referral network. The role’s principal portfolio is the leadership, activation and ongoing development of Para Playmakers, PA’s dedicated online audience of allied health practitioners, education personnel, sporting staff and community referrers who play a critical role in identifying and connecting individuals with Para sport opportunities.
The role will support the strategic growth, engagement and impact of this audience, ensuring Playmakers are supported with clear information, targeted resources and consistent messaging that enhances their ability to influence early Para sport participation.
Working closely with PA’s Commercial, Communications and Brand team, the coordinator supports the development of audience-appropriate content, stories and resources that amplify Playmakers impact and drive awareness across priority sectors.
In addition to this recurring portfolio, the role will deliver discrete, time-bound projects that respond to identified gaps, priorities or opportunities within the Para sport system.
This is a fixed-term contract role until 30 June 2028 and can be based from our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office. It will require occasional interstate travel and weekend work.
The Person
You are a highly organised and process-driven coordinator who is comfortable managing communications, information and data across multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
You bring practical experience coordinating digital communications, stakeholder engagement or comparable participant-focussed activity. You are confident working with data and customer relationship management systems, preparing reports and translating information into practical insights.
You communicate clearly, build constructive relationships and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
Knowledge of Para sport, digital marketing or Para athlete pathways would be beneficial but is not essential. Most importantly, you are curious and willing to build your understanding of accessible and inclusive engagement and the broader Para sport system.
