Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a Middle Leader at St Eugene College to lead curriculum development and align programs with national and local standards. You will drive assessment processes, mentor teachers, and collaboratively shape the school's curricular direction.

You will work with Senior Leadership to implement research-informed teaching, manage the budget, and contribute to whole-school professional learning and leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

• Developed work programs aligned with national, state, and local requirements.
• Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
• Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
• Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
• Having responsibility for a financial budget.
• Not required to be Catholic.

Responsibilities

• Leading the overall curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation across the school under the direction of Senior Leadership.
• Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through whole-school professional development and targeted support for teacher improvement.
• Collaborating with Curriculum Leaders, teaching staff, and Senior Leadership to review curriculum frameworks and plan future directions.
• Leading teacher performance through professional dialogue, reflective practice, and formal/informal goal setting and appraisal.
• Staying current with curriculum and pedagogy developments and guiding whole-school professional learning accordingly.
• Providing induction and mentoring for beginning teachers in collaboration with Senior Leadership and Curriculum Leaders.
• Supervising student learning across the school using internal and external data, and implementing strategic interventions.
• Contributing to school leadership through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Managing financial and material resources within the curriculum area, including budget planning and expenditure.
