Brisbane Catholic Education Office in Burpengary, QLD is seeking a Middle Leader to drive curriculum development and strategic oversight across St Eugene College. You will lead curriculum initiatives, support teaching quality, and engage with staff and leaders to implement effective practices.

The role involves modelling contemporary pedagogy, mentoring early career teachers, and managing curriculum budgets to support school priorities.

Qualifications

• Developed work programs in alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
• Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
• Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
• Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
• Having responsibility for a financial budget.

Responsibilities

• Leading the overall curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation across the school under the direction of Senior Leadership.
• Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through whole-school professional development and targeted support for teacher improvement.
• Collaborating with Curriculum Leaders, teaching staff, and Senior Leadership to review curriculum frameworks and plan future directions.
• Leading teacher performance through professional dialogue, reflective practice, and formal/informal goal setting and appraisal.
• Staying current with curriculum and pedagogy developments and guiding whole-school professional learning accordingly.
• Providing induction and mentoring for beginning teachers in collaboration with Senior Leadership and Curriculum Leaders.
• Supervising student learning across the school using internal and external data, and implementing strategic interventions.
• Contributing to school leadership through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Managing financial and material resources within the curriculum area, including budget planning and expenditure.
