Job summary

Healius in Queensland is seeking a Pathology Collector Reliever for 20 hours per week, covering multiple collection centres and hospitals within the area. You will collect blood and other samples while delivering a positive, professional patient experience.

This role supports planned and unplanned absences with flexible shifts and requires a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background. Training is provided through the Healius Academy over six weeks.

Qualifications

• Experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential.
• Background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability, nursing) or strong customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care and precision
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes
• Adapt quickly to different collection sites, teams and workflows to support smooth day-to-day operations
