Job summary

Healius, a leading Australian healthcare provider, seeks a Pathology Collector Reliever to support multiple clinics across the Whittlesea area. The role requires traveling between collection centres and hospital sites to collect specimens and perform diagnostic tasks while ensuring high-quality patient care.

The position is a full-time reliever with a 6-week paid training period. A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required, and the role may involve varying schedules

Qualifications

• Experience in pathology collection or healthcare related roles preferred.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection preferred.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to travel between collection centres and hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Travel between collection centres and hospitals to provide collection services.
• Welcome patients and manage waiting areas with professionalism.
• Perform venepuncture and collect pathology specimens.
• Conduct diagnostic tests as required (ECGs, BP, Holter).
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen logs.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport to laboratories.
• Adapt to different teams, locations and workflows while maintaining care standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-supplied collection environment.
