Job summary

Healius is seeking a Pathology Collector in Queensland on a casual basis. You will collect blood and other samples, ensuring accuracy and a calm, professional patient experience. The role supports timely diagnosis through proper specimen handling and documentation, with full onboarding via Healius Academy.

Training lasts six weeks with full-time hours for two weeks and a minimum of 25 hours weekly thereafter. Healius offers a supportive culture and diverse wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential
• A background in healthcare or strong customer-facing experience
• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
• Evidence of immunisation requirements including Hepatitis B

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care, accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes
• Support smooth daily operations across the collection site
