Job summary

4Cyte Pathology in Mornington is seeking experienced Pathology Collectors to join our team. The role involves taking blood and other specimens from patients, performing ECGs, Holter and BP monitoring, and delivering accurate sample handling.

Candidates should have venepuncture experience, be able to work independently, and be comfortable with weekend rosters. A current Working with Children check is required, and applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Venepuncture and phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience collecting blood, ECGs and Holter monitoring.
• Ability to work independently and on weekend rosters.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples from patients.
• Perform ECGs and Holter/BP monitoring where required.
• Handle pathology specimens and complete paperwork.
• Communicate with team, referring doctors and patients.

About the role

We are currently seeking for experienced Pathology Collectors in and around Mornington Area.

Candidate must have at least 1 year experience in Pathology.

Your primary duties will be to take blood and other specimens from patients including performing ECG's and Holter and BP monitoring.

Skills and experience

Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method

• Collection of blood and other samples from patients
• Experience in ECG's and Holter monitors
• Experience in Paediatric and Neonatal Collections
• Processing of Pathology Specimens
• Ability to work alone and participate in the weekend roster in any of our collection centres
• Clerical duties and Process paperwork
• Own car and current drivers license is preferred
• Ability to communicate with the team, referring Doctors and patients
• Ability to provide dedication to patient care and service delivery
• Ability to demonstrate organisation and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• Basic computer skills
• Comply with Work Health and Safety
