Job summary

Westfill Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Paste Plant Operators to join our FIFO team on a new project in Western Australia. You will operate and monitor paste plants, manage reticulation systems and coordinate with underground crews to ensure timely paste delivery and safe operations.

We offer a balanced 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth, paid OEM training, and a $1,000 referral bonus. This role requires relevant tickets and a current manual driver’s licence, with opportunities for career progression

Qualifications

• Previous paste plant operations and reticulation system experience.
• Valid front end loader ticket and DGSC or willingness to apply.
• Current manual Class C driver’s licence and working at heights ticket.
• Be able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
• National Police Clearance within last 6 months or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the paste plant for safe, efficient, continuous paste fill.
• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot the paste reticulation system to minimise downtime.
• Manage surface activities for underground reticulation network including flushing.
• Liaise with underground teams to deliver paste to the correct stopes on time.
• Record production data, system pressures and plant performance.
• Operate the Komatsu WA 500 front end loader as required.
• Follow safety protocols and assist with other duties as directed.

THE JOB

Day To Day, You Will

• Operate and monitor the paste plant for safe, efficient and continuous paste fill
• Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot the paste reticulation system, and fix faults quickly to minimise downtime
• Manage surface activities for the underground reticulation network, including system flushing and remote control of paste diverters
• Liaise with underground teams to deliver paste to the right stopes on time
• Record production data, system pressures and plant performance
• Operate the Komatsu WA 500 front end loader as required
• Follow and promote safety protocols, and take on other duties as directed by the Senior Paste Plant Operator or Paste Fill Coordinator

THE ESSENTIALS -

What you need to succeed:

• Previous experience in paste plant operations and/or reticulation systems
• Paste Plant Operator's ticket (desirable)
• Valid front end loader ticket
• Current manual Class C driver's licence
• Working at heights ticket
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC), or be willing to apply for one
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
• National Police Clearance within the last 6 months, or be willing to apply for one
