Job summary

Caravan Repair Centre and Unearthed RV are seeking a reliable Parts & Warehouse Assistant in Caloundra to support caravan repairs and motorhome builds. The role covers receiving, stocking, and dispatching parts, plus ensuring materials are available for workshop use.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, hands-on and comfortable in a workshop/warehouse setting, with experience in parts, warehousing or manufacturing beneficial. A current driver’s licence is required.

About the Role

Caravan Repair Centre and Unearthed RV are seeking a reliable, organised and hands on Parts & Warehouse Assistant to support our busy caravan repair and motorhome manufacturing operations in Caloundra.

This is a varied role responsible for helping manage the flow of parts, components and materials from the time they arrive at our premises through to their allocation and supply to the workshop.

Working across both Caravan Repair Centre and Unearthed RV, you will play an important role in ensuring our technicians and RV builders have the correct parts and materials available when they need them.

The position would suit someone who enjoys an organised working environment, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and isn't afraid to get involved wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Parts & Stock Management

• Receive, check and unpack incoming parts, materials and deliveries
• Check deliveries against purchase orders and supplier documentation
• Identify shortages, incorrect items or damaged goods and report discrepancies
• Label, organise and store parts in their correct locations
• Allocate incoming parts to the appropriate repair job, customer or Unearthed RV build
• Pick and prepare parts and materials required by workshop staff
• Assist with stocktakes and regular inventory checks
• Monitor stock levels of commonly used workshop consumables and components
• Assist with maintaining appropriate minimum stock levels
• Help identify slow moving, obsolete or excess stock
• Maintain accurate stock and parts records

Warehouse & Stores

• Maintain a clean, safe and well organised warehouse and parts storage area
• Ensure parts and materials are clearly labelled and easily identifiable
• Maintain designated storage areas for individual repair jobs and vehicle builds
• Organise bulky items and incoming deliveries to minimise congestion within the workshop
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries where required
• Dispose of packaging and waste appropriately
• Maintain workshop consumable and hardware storage areas

Workshop Support

• Deliver parts and materials to technicians and RV builders as required
• Assist in preparing parts and components for upcoming jobs and builds
• Help ensure required parts are available before scheduled work commences
• Communicate with the Service, Workshop and Unearthed RV Production teams regarding missing or outstanding parts
• Assist with general workshop and warehouse duties when required

Parts Administration

• Assist with ordering parts and workshop consumables
• Follow up outstanding and backordered parts with suppliers
• Maintain records of parts ordered, received and allocated
• Assist with supplier returns, warranty returns and credits
• Ensure invoices and delivery documentation are provided to administration for processing
• Assist with maintaining accurate supplier and product information

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities

• Practical and comfortable working within a workshop and warehouse environment
• Able to work independently without needing constant direction
• Detail focused, particularly when checking part numbers, quantities and job allocations
• Comfortable using computers and inventory or job management systems
• Physically capable of undertaking normal warehouse duties including lifting and moving parts and materials
• A good communicator who can work effectively with technicians, administration staff, suppliers and management
• Proactive in identifying problems rather than waiting for someone else to resolve them
• Committed to maintaining a clean and organised workplace

Previous experience in parts, warehousing, automotive, caravans, manufacturing or a mechanical environment would be highly regarded, although the right attitude and organisational ability are equally important.

A current driver's licence is necessity.

Operating from our Caloundra premises for more than 35 years, we have built strong relationships throughout the caravan and insurance industries.

Unearthed RV is our motorhome manufacturing division, specialising in premium Mercedes Benz Sprinter based adventure vehicles. Each vehicle is built at our Caloundra facility by our dedicated production team.

This role is an important link between our suppliers, administration team and workshop, helping ensure both businesses have the parts and materials required to keep work moving efficiently.
