Job summary

Harbour Caravans in Burpengary East, QLD, is seeking a Caravan Workshop Senior Team Leader & Tech/Assistants for full-time on-site work. You will support skilled technicians, lead a small team, and ensure quality workmanship on caravans.

A driver’s license and mechanical aptitude are essential, with a focus on safety and customer service. You’ll gain hands-on experience in caravan systems, including water, gas, electrical and chassis components, while delivering reliable service and mentorship

Responsibilities

• Work with team on caravan building, servicing, maintenance and repair.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (bearing, brakes, suspension, inspections).
• Prepare caravans and equipment for servicing procedures.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and organize tools/equipment.
• Assist with diagnosis and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Develop caravan systems knowledge (water, gas, electrical, chassis).
• Assist with parts identification, ordering and inventory management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and workshop standards.
• Communicate service progress and issues to customers.

Harbour Caravans is seeking a Caravan Workshop Senior Team Leader & Tech/Assistants to join our growing team in Burpengary East, QLD. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in the automotive trades sector, specifically within caravan industry. You will be working on-site at our workshop, providing essential technical support and assistance to our experienced technicians. This role is fundamental to maintaining the quality of our service delivery and ensuring our customers receive the highest standard of workmanship on their caravans.

What you'll be doing

• Work together with other team members on caravan building, servicing, maintenance and repair work
• Performing routine maintenance tasks including bearing, brakes, suspension service & general inspections
• Preparing caravans and equipment for assembling or servicing procedures
• Maintaining workshop cleanliness and organisation, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
• Supporting the diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues under supervision
• Learning and developing technical skills in caravan-specific systems including water, gas, electrical and chassis components
• Assisting with parts identification, ordering and inventory management
• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining compliance with workshop standards
• Communicating effectively with customers regarding service progress and any issues identified
