Job summary

Vater Machinery Pty seeks a self-motivated Parts Interpreter for our Saddleworth branch. You will handle counter and phone sales, process orders, and support service technicians with parts interpretation.

The role requires strong customer service, organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision. A current driver’s licence is essential, forklift licence desirable, and a proven track record in parts interpretation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive/farm machinery parts interpreting preferred and/or an apprenticeship will be considered for the right candidate.
• Proven technical interpretation skills
• Exceptional customer service & communication skills
• Proven strong organisational and decision-making skills
• The ability to work within a team environment
• The ability to multitask and to work with minimum supervision
• Computer literacy with experience in MS Word and Excel
• Hold a current driver’s licence (essential)
• Hold a current nationally accredited LF (Forklift) licence (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Counter and phone sales across the complete Vater Machinery product range
• Ordering, processing and dispatching sales transactions
• Providing support (parts interpreting) to our service technicians
• Stock and maintain showroom merchandise ensuring visibility in clean orderly displays
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels
• Assist with inbound/outbound freight
• Participate in continuous rolling stocktakes and general inventory monitoring
• General administration and accuracy in customer support
