Job summary

Bapcor is hiring a Parts Interpreter for our Murwillumbah branch on a full-time basis. You will be the customer-facing contact, helping customers identify the right parts, using catalogs and inventories to ensure accurate, efficient service.

Collaborating with the branch team, you’ll support daily store operations, handle inquiries, and build strong relationships with fleet managers and operators to ensure timely parts delivery for critical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze customer inquiries regarding heavy vehicle parts specifications and compatibility.
• Translate complex truck specifications into clear solutions for fleet operators and customers.
• Process inbound phone and online parts inquiries with accuracy and efficiency, prioritizing urgent fleet maintenance needs.
• Identify correct parts using technical documentation, catalogs, and inventory systems.
• Provide expert guidance on part selection for commercial vehicles and fleet requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, parts requests, and fleet maintenance histories.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and expedited delivery.
• Support customer service operations and showroom activities as needed.
• Assist with inventory management, stock receipt, and order processing for truck parts.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and detail‑oriented Parts Interpreterto join our Murwillumbah Branch on a full‑time basis.

In this customer‑facing role, you’ll be a trusted point of contact for customers, helping them identify the right parts solutions while delivering outstanding service. You’ll combine technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a positive customer experience every time.

Working closely with the branch team, you’ll play an integral role in supporting daily store operations and contributing to team success.

• Interpret and analyze customer inquiries regarding heavy vehicle parts specifications, compatibility, and technical requirements specific to trucks and commercial vehicles
• Translate complex technical problems and truck specifications into clear, understandable solutions for fleet operators and customers
• Process inbound phone and online parts inquiries with accuracy and efficiency, prioritizing urgent fleet maintenance needs
• Identify correct parts using technical documentation, truck parts catalogs, and inventory management systems
• Provide expert guidance on part selection for commercial vehicles, ensuring customers receive the right components for their fleet requirements
• Maintain detailed and organized records of customer interactions, parts requests, and fleet maintenance histories
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, stock accuracy, and expedited delivery for critical truck repairs
• Support customer service operations and showroom activities as needed
• Assist with inventory management, stock receipt, and order processing for truck parts and components
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with fleet managers and operators through transparent communication and responsive service
• Coordinate with technical teams to resolve complex truck‑related parts inquiries and compatibility isses

• Experience or demonstrated passion for automotive parts (preferred)
• Background or familiarity with European vehicles (advantageous)
