Job summary

Jacob Group in Victoria is seeking a Parts Interpreter to join our busy dealership team. You will identify and interpret parts, use electronic catalogues, and support technicians and service advisors to ensure the right parts are supplied quickly and accurately.

You will work with retail and trade customers, prepare quotes, and manage stock and orders. Strong customer service and computer skills are essential, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Automotive parts interpreting experience preferred.
• Toyota or dealership experience is a plus.
• Good automotive knowledge required.
• Strong customer service skills essential.
• Confident handling customers face-to-face and on the phone.
• Proficient with computer systems.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Following up backorders and customer requests
• Processing invoices and maintaining accurate records
• Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Automotive parts interpreting experience
• Toyota or dealership experience – a definite advantage
• Good automotive knowledge
• Strong customer service skills
• Confidence dealing with customers over the phone and face‑to‑face
• Good computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A reliable, positive and practical attitude
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• A current driver's licence
