Watson Toyota in Young, NSW is seeking a reliable Spare Parts Interpreter to join our busy dealership team. In this full-time role, you will work with our Parts Manager on inventory, supporting technicians and retail customers.

This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and knowledge of automotive components to keep our service department moving. You will use Toyota systems, catalogs, and diagrams to identify components, manage stock, place orders, and assist guests and workshop

Job description

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and organized Spare Parts Interpreter to join our busy Toyota dealership team. In this full-time role, you will work with our Parts Manager on parts inventory, supporting both our internal workshop technicians and our retail/trade customers. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where your attention to detail and knowledge of automotive components will keep our service department and guest vehicles moving.

Key responsibilities

• Parts Interpretation; Use Toyota systems, digital parts catalogues, and technical diagrams to accurately identify and source the correct automotive components
• Inventory Control; Manage stock levels within our dealership inventory system, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure the parts department is organized and efficient
• Procurement; Place orders for parts, track deliveries, and manage backorders effectively to minimize vehicle downtime
• Customer and workshop support; Provide exceptional customer service to trade clients, retail guests, and our internal team of factory-trained technicians
• Receiving the logistics; Inspect incoming deliveries for quality and accuracy against purchase orders, and safely store stock

About you

Previous experience in an automotive parts role (dealership experience or knowledge of Toyota systems is highly regarded, but not essential)

Strong ability to interpret automotive parts catalogues and technical diagrams

Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management and basic administrative tasks

Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional manner when dealing with guests and suppliers

A reliable individual with strong attention to detail who takes pride in an organized workspace.
