Job summary

Volare Recruitment is seeking a Parts Advisor in Brisbane’s automotive sector. You’ll work with workshop technicians, Service Advisors, suppliers and customers to ensure parts availability and timely delivery.

The role offers base salary plus monthly performance-based commission, outstanding training, and clear career progression within a large, established group. A supportive team environment and diverse daily duties await.

Qualifications

• Background in automotive parts interpreting or mechanical work is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to use catalogues and computer systems to source parts.

Responsibilities

• Assisting technicians and Service Advisors with parts enquiries, quotations and orders.
• Identifying and sourcing the correct parts using catalogues and computer systems.
• Preparing quotes, processing orders and following through to completion.
• Handling enquiries from retail customers over the phone and via email.
• Liaising with the warehouse team to ensure parts are picked and ready for the workshop.
• Following up on orders, stock availability and deliveries.
• Keeping customers and internal teams informed and updated.
• Helping out wherever needed to keep things running smoothly.

Do you have a background in parts interpreting, automotive or mechanical work and love dealing with people? Perhaps you're currently working in a workshop or parts environment and would love to move into a role offering more customer interaction and long-term career opportunities?

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful and well-established automotive group, working within their busy Parts Department. And the great thing about this opportunity is that whilst previous Parts Advisor experience would certainly be an advantage, our client is equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, great customer service skills and a willingness to learn!

You'll be joining a close-knit team who work really well together, genuinely enjoy what they do and are more than happy to help someone new learn the ropes.

So, what does the role involve?
There's plenty of variety and you'll certainly be kept busy! You'll be working closely with workshop technicians, Service Advisors, suppliers and customers to make sure the right parts are available when they're needed. Your day will include:

Who would suit this role?
We're quite open-minded about your background. You may already be working as a Parts Advisor or Interpreter, or perhaps you've come from:

• An automotive workshop or mechanical background
• A parts warehouse or distribution environment
• Technical sales or parts interpreting in another industry
• A dealership or automotive business where you've gained good product knowledge
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills
• Is comfortable using computers and confident learning new systems
• Is organised, reliable and has great attention to detail
• Enjoys problem-solving and finding solutions
• Has a positive, can-do attitude and is happy to jump in and help wherever needed
